Whether you would like a customized piece that is similar to one of my originals, or a commissions for original paintings created in my atmospheric, semi-abstract style.
A commission can be inspired by a place that means something to you — a coastline you grew up near, a favorite landscape, a meaningful travel memory, a family property, or simply somewhere that has always felt like home.
Rather than creating a literal reproduction of a photograph, I use your images and memories as a starting point, translating them through layers of texture, softened detail, color, light and atmosphere. The goal is to create a painting that feels connected to the place while still remaining loose, expressive and unmistakably original.
Commissions can also begin with the feeling you want a painting to bring into your home. We can work from a particular palette, mood, landscape or sense of light to create something designed for your space.
Commission Request
We’ll begin with a conversation about the piece you’re imagining, including size, color palette, overall mood and any meaningful details you’d like incorporated. You’re welcome to share photographs of the place, your room or other references that help communicate the feeling you’re drawn to.
Once we establish the direction and size, a non-refundable deposit reserves your commission and I’ll begin creating your piece.
Because my paintings develop through an intuitive, layered process, I don’t reproduce photographs exactly or duplicate previous paintings. Each commission is created with artistic freedom so the finished work feels like an original painting rather than a painted photograph.
